This beautiful 4×3.25 inch album page has been autographed by the legendary, Terry Fox. Janis is probably one of the most iconic athletes of all-time, with millions of fans all over the world. He rose to stardom in 1980 after selflessly beginning a marathon to run across the entire country of Canada, despite only having one real functioning leg. His goal was to raise money for cancer awareness and treatment.
His marathon was cut short in September, 1980 after repeated coughs that resulted in a hospital visit that determined his cancer had spread to his lungs. To this day, The Terry Fox marathon continues every year which has raised almost 1 billion for cancer research. He could very well be the most iconic athlete of all-time. The album page has been signed beautifully in black marker and it looks absolutely stunning. This autograph was signed in the summer of 1980 in Ottawa, Ontario. The ink has bled some but it is extremely normal for the age. The signature is in above average condition and still extremely bold. He also signed “Best Wishes Paul”. The album page itself has some minor wear and tear to the corners.
It was ripped from an autograph book and was placed in a box with other autographs and only was unearthed in the 2000’s. You can see the rigged edges on the left side where it was attached to a book. Please see the photo for condition of the page. It shows and presents really well. It would look great matted in a frame. Also, at this price, this Terry Fox autograph will NOT LAST LONG!!
